Communion

What we call Communion goes by many different names: Holy Communion, Eucharist, The Lord's Table, The Holy Meal. Whatever you call it, we believe that the practice of taking the bread and cup is an act of thanksgiving wherein the gathered community remembers the gracious deeds of God reaching out in love to humanity, offering ourselves as a holy and living sacrifice in union with Christ's offering for us. This is not just something we do because it is nice, but as we commune together in this way, God imparts grace to us—the grace for forgiveness, and the grace that transforms us.
